As a physics-inspired enterprise software company with a focus on quantitative finance and optimization, Boston Quantum is an inherently interdisciplinary venture.

Reflecting on this, we believe that our team has a diverse background and a complementary set of skills that will help this business be successful. Our experiences span quantum computing, software engineering, research and development, portfolio management, and finance, as well as entrepreneurship and management. 

Our three Ph.D. founders have known each other since college. Shantanu and Shoumik were roommates at Yale, and have worked together on a variety of projects over the past 5 years; they have founded and led clubs, developed open-source code, and currently do research together in the MIT EQuS group. The full team has been working together since January 2022.
